Forever interested in art as a vehicle through which to experience life, Katya has studied every media, technique and philosophy she could get her hands on. Formal education that she has explored includes Bachelor of Arts degree from CSULB and a myriad of classes at USC, Pasadena Art Center College of Design, Cerritos College, and beyond. She has investigated a plethora of approaches to creating, her personal favorites being printmaking, drawing and installation, which have organically evolved into temporary environment design.
Well-designed communal space, a hub of connection-interaction, which is on the verge of extinction in the modern society, can become a full-service emotional fueling station. From a cozy nest to a psychedelic ballroom, a space born from imagination inspires exploration of the dynamics of human interactions and the gentle expansion of heart+mind through multi-sensory stimuli.
These environments only truly come to life through human presence, when people interact with the space and make it their own, experiencing the energy of physical things, color, light, form, and one’s own energy through these prisms. Here the process of art transforms into sensations of life.
